my craving
has been satisfied! ((: and what was it? you'll have to get through my updates for the previous weeks first!just last saturday i had this craving for lamb i think its cause spring's here? i have no idea why heh. but anyhoo we made lamb for dinner! (: though the cutlets we bought were mostly bones and fat.. we were glad we had baked potatoes, corn and garlic bread to fill up our plates! (:
yummy looking? :pon sunday we were invited to lunch with sharyn's family (she visited singapore during the jul hols). it was fun! though i had to travel quite far.. walked to the railway station, took the train for about 45 mins and she came to fetch me and darren by car at the station. but it was worth it i think!
what greeted me when i walked into the backyard.
the fruit trees that they grow. tried their grapefruits and it was pretty good (:
and thats eve, jon's gf; sharyn and jon. eve was muching on the nibbles that they provided. basically its chips, crackers and this delish pineapple cream cheese dip and cheese with sundried tomatoes and almonds.
there were also these dried apricots which they made by themselves! cause they have an apricot tree as well (:and after waiting for awhile lunch was served! we were spposed to be really hungry but we cldnt stop nibbling on the finger food.

this was what i took just to try cause i wasnt very hungry by then: roasted potatoes, beans, parsips ( i dont know what they are actually but they were good! so glad i tried it ), pumpkins ( i went back for more hee ), brocoli and beans again. and it was barbequed lamb with mint sauce on the right and pork with apple sauce on the left. 
and this was jon's plate! he piled it up (:and we sat around and dessert came! we were such pigs that day omg.
from the top left clockwise: banana caramel pie ( it was that which inspired me to try my own ), apple pie, and pavlova. mmm the pav was really good its like this crispy outer layer with a soft fluffy inner layer with cream and strawberries. darren was so taken with it he asked grandma for the recipe!

there're more of us! eugene, jon, eve, camay, me, stephen, kerhong and chinhowe. kinda blurry though.
and stephen cutting his bday cake! he just cut his hair and he claims its too short to be seen so he's been wearing that beanie haha.

the silly girls: camy me and alison. yes i look stupid i know!
oh not these but dont they look pretty! cornflakes crunchies i shall call them (: its just cornflakes with melted chocolate thrown into the oven for about 10 mins. easy and yummy!
me and alison are happy girls! our faves are the reds (:
and ah hah i was preparing for the cupcakes! can you guess already? we had no grater so i had to peel the carrot skin, the carrot and then chop up the slices to make it fine.
thanks to the recipe alison's mom sent her: the carrot cake cupcakes ( it was actually for a cake but we improvised and made it easy for everyone to eat by making it into cupcake size )
cream cheese frosting! arent they pretty? courtesy of yours truly! (:
and me and alison obviously smiling about the cupcakes. we werent sure how it wld turn out though. just happy (: so i tried it afterwards we chucked it into the fridge to let the frosting solidify. i really liked it cause we made it chunky. mmm!

you know what? its been 2 weeks since the end of term break.. cant believe that time is passing so terribly quick! and 2007 seems to be coming to an end i see many christmas promotions coming up everywhere.
