dynamite roll: inside out california roll with jap seven spice powder. i cant rmber exactly what the powder was called but its the one you always see at jap places. i thought it was pretty good!
my shoyu ramen. not too bad. i tried the chilli powder with it and i turned red immediately. so spicy!
seafood miso hot pot. the prawns look yummy!
that's the chilli powder thing. its addictive! i had it again even though it was rather spicy heh. chin howe thought it was sesame :x got a shock too when he tried it haha.

escaping taking a break from my boring chemistry project!
when we just arrived at the dinner and ate our fill. the food wasnt that great but hey this is oz!
when i was doing my chem research just now, i was deep in concentration like them too!
except they were making balloons. you know the smelly tube of plastic goo that you can blow up? yeap that's it.

we tried making a wish with the many stars hanging around. the theme of the party/dinner was "be a star" not that we actually complied :p

on sat sharyn and the sporean dinner crew (me, jon and his gf, evelyn) as dubbed by the other dent ppl went for authentic aussie food at ned kelly's.
we tried camel and wallaby, and no more exotic meats for me!
but the dampers (basically just flour and water cooked in the ground) were really good!
and this is my main course, aussie loin of lamb.
its called grandma quinn's jolly jumback and it was really good! the green sauce is actually spring onion sauce and it turned out to be surprisingly yummy! and that's potato bake on the right of the lamb it's layers of potato with milk and cheese in between. just lovely! (: loved the veggies too but the filo pastry was kinda weird...
time for sweets!
the sticky date pudding with custard that jon convinced me to try. that's butterscotch on top. i wasnt very convinced at first but it turned out to be good! its very aussie i think. cldnt finish it though i was too stuffed.
jon's chocolate pudding with warm chocolate sauce as recommended by the waiter in the restaurant. there was ONE waiter and ONE chef. amazing right.
doesnt look particularly appetising here but trust me it was good! worth my calories!
now i have to get back to chem. till nxt weekend! (:
squeaky clean
my kitchen is! me and cory were eating dinner and we got rather disgusted with how the 2 new holland guys have managed to dirty every single pot, pan, plate, bowl, spoon etc... you get what i mean. so the angelic us decided to clean up everything. arent you proud of me mommy? (not that she reads but still :p )
the cupboard for all the CLEAN kitchen stuff.
wiped the benchtop.
and the table.
and that's my letter to my housemates. i wrote some nonsense and cory almost wanted to write a new one! haha. but we're both happy that our kitchen is so clean now. it better be kept this way! or else... *scratch
anyways last saturday joe had a bbq at the balcony outside his room.
the lamb and veggie sausages (for aranan) cooking nicely on the pit that joe bought.

apple crumble with vanilla ice cream. joe made this! his mom's recipe i think. it was good too and he dished out such huge portions its like 2 of my usual portions. felt kinda sick after finishing it but it was still good (:
and this was last last sat when my cousin SQ came to visit from mildura.
that's us with the food. we were at some inn in hahndorf look at the food! oh that's my couz nxt to me and his two friends, siew wen and ally.

dessert after a good long walk around the german village. it wasnt boring at all surprisingly. and the sweets were pretty yummy too (:

then we went to the revolving restaurant at glenelg (once in a lifetime experience i dont think im going back there it made me dizzy!) that's my main course, out of the blue. nothing special though.
