taken with the pro vice chancellor ( international ) at the goodman lawns. whatever that title means heh. the girl is an international student from vietnam. i felt so cheated! some people wore like shorts and flip flops hmm.
if im not wrong that's elder hall my school pretty much looks like a castle or like old victorian.
that's union house and it has facilities for students like a cinema, gym, bookstore, cafes and computer and resource centre or sth like that. basically just for student activities. and that's the lawn we sat on to have lunch the first few days of international student orientation. now not anymore cause its way too hot in the afternoon. argh.
oh today we went to watch "norbit" at greater union cinema the theatre was like empty! nobody here really watches movies cause they're kinda ex so me, camy and big jon were really comfortable! flaunting our sexy legs. sorry for being one-legged. impromtu! anyway good for us that they dont watch wahahah. it's free seating btw. and there were like 5 people in total just now.

we're going to the zoo, how about you?
early in the morning! actually it was 11 plus when we left the village to take this bus. it looks rather pok right! the bus driver took more than an hr to get to the zoo while small jon drove and took less than half an hour. :x
at the monarto zoological park! me, cammy, ada, mengjoo stephen and eugene. ada and mengjoo are stephen's new friends from church (:
we took a guided safari tour and the route is called the zu-loop! the first animal we saw is probably the ugliest animal ever. i can't rmber its name but they looked like mounds of shit! eew. then we saw the giraffes which were much better (: and rhinos! can you believe it there're actually rhinos from singapore? i went all the way to the monarto zoo to see sth from singapore. so smart right. and the last one is spposed to show african painted dogs but they're kinda camouflaged with the rocks.
im pretty sure the giraffe knows when we take photos! see so many poses! and it's really cheeky keeps sticking out its tongue. but then again they lick EVERYTHING. so gross. their tongues are really long! and black.
do-re-mi: the giraffe looks like it just decided to pop in right! i was actually really scared that it was gonna lick me. EEW.
isnt this baby just the cutest? almost wanted to hide him in my bag and bring him home. and cause we were taking photos he was in front of the animals, so all the cameras seemed aimed at him. he was sooooo cute he went "mommy mommy they're taking photos of me. why are they taking photos of me?" haha i secretly took this photo :p the rest are just photos of us on the way back to take the pok bus back to the city.
while we were waiting for the bus. dont we look stranded? cory was like laughing she was spposed to act distressed while i tried to hitchhike! and us trying to show our legs so that we can get a ride home. yes stupid i know :p
never did try this in singapore! we look kinda silly somehow we just couldnt jump that high ):

this is soooo late but oh wells i just saw the photos again today so i shall share with everyone *beams
our dinner! or after dinner i should say. that's sarah, amanda and small jon and small jon says that's the best chinese food that he's had in australia. this is like his fourth year in aus! but to tell the truth its wasnt THAT great. so all you back home please treasure the food you can have any time! :p
dessert time! we were having gelati and i went to try the banana flavour cause i've eaten nice ones back home. but seriously! it was like yucky candy flavour. some kind soul finished it for me though so i just ate the chocolate part. yay.
and introducing brabbit! that's sarah's other family member ( she has quite a few i must say! ) we were happy to be having gelati hee.
and this is brabbit enjoying something called melting moments which was not too bad! and sharing sarah's gelati. that's a small size you know! so much even the aus waitress was telling us their small is huge. no wonder aussies are not that small. haha im so mean. k i found some more photos.
that's the tram that we could have taken to glenelg. so old school right? but no we had to wait for like one hr cause big jon decided to take sarah, small jon and ginway on a tour of the city. at our expense! me, cory, camillia and joyce had to wait for them slow pokes. in the end we took the new modern one and it was about 30 mins to the beach. the place's really nice! and we had fish and chips. which wasnt as fabulous as i expected. eep.

the domestic goddess
super yummy pasta! my status has now been officially upgraded to domestic goddess! today 9 of us gathered for dinner at my place cause none of my housemates are back yet. i dunno what's the occasion but well it was rather fun! oh oh we decided that since it's the 7th day of the lunar new year tmr (which is like everyone's birthday) tonight's the celebration dinner. and as the "host" i cooked spaghetti bolognaise for everyone! with help from cory and camillia of course. (:

the last supper haha that's all the pasta lined up for everyone! the macaroni and cheese camy made, the pasta sauce i made it looks a little dark here but well as long as it looks professional and that's beep beep ( sarah's family member) trying to memorise my mommy's recipe :p
what's a glam domestic goddess without some trusty helpers to help clean up? introducing fatimah (eugene), maria (small jon) and super anna (stephen)! as you can see, our super anna is especially fond of the camera. and he's rather drama, acting like he has a hard life cleaning bowls, enjoying clearing the plates for us queens and eating up the macaroni and cheese while fatimah and maria scrub away at the pots and pans. tsk!
not forgetting the girls! who of course besides cooking and eating didnt have to lift a finger for anything else. i dont mind cooking if the cleaning up is taken care of! (:
and if you're wondering where big jon went, he was finishing up his HUGE plate of pasta cause he is the hardest person ever to feed so we decided to give him the biggest plate with the largest amount of pasta. i have just used the most number of words to describe big. oh but he was soooo sweet he bought the yummiest double chocolate chip ice cream and strawberries and grapes too!
when we were preparing for the big meal to come! okay cannot multi-task will update about the cny dinner we had soon (:

in order to be on time, i dragged my weary self up at 7am okay i snoozed till 730 i was almost late argh! and we reached after a long long bus ride.
well, me and camillia found a way to entertain ourselves before we fell asleep.

and well, basically victor harbour is this place with a granite island which is wow full of huge granite rocks and a place to view penguins and dolphins. but it was kinda hot 38 degrees C that day so we didnt get to see any. neither did i see any whales! *sobs we did have fish and chips though! which was not too bad considering we were beyond hungry by the time they served.
see any resemblance? big jon found his mates! haha he's so gonna kill me. you're still quite cute i suppose (*said in a nasal voice) so no worries! haha :p

a pretty sunset
last evening i went for this outdoor PERFORMANCE at torrens river and the sunset was sooo pretty! there were so many people who gathered to watch but okay actually cause it's a rather huge event, a bi-annual performance called symphony under the stars. since i happen to be here why not? (:
the crowd! we had to squeeze through the so many people just to find a small seat. and everyone brought so much food! as in the locals. there was wine cheese fruits and much much more. i had cereal for dinner :x
what torrens river looks like in the day it's just opposite my school so come visit and we can have lunch on the grass it's really not too bad. and rather slack. i think we just sat there for the whole afternoon it was soo comfortable and yeah we were being lazy too haha. just a little!
i took one of these paddle boats! quite fun half an hour was just nice. so tourist-y right? it's okay just for these 2 weeks i shall be a tourist after that i think i have to stay home and study. yikes i dont wanna go to school 8 to 5 everyday! k let my pictures do the talking i shall go nap heh (:
